This class features a slow pace, frequent use of props, and abundant descriptive verbal cues as we study the poses and movements in between postures that are characteristic of the Vinyasa Flow style. Expect an accessible challenge!

Gentle Flow

Gentle Flow is an accessible and beginner-friendly class. You will link breath to gentle movement through a series of reclined, seated, and prone postures. Standing and balance postures serve as peaks to the practice. Finish with a period of meditative rest.

Yoga + Barre

Yoga + Barre is a hybrid fitness practice that combines elements of traditional yoga with barre exercises. The term “barre” refers to a stationary handrail often used in ballet training, and barre workouts typically involve a combination of ballet-inspired moves, Pilates, and strength training exercises. When integrated with yoga, it creates a unique and comprehensive workout experience that targets different muscle groups while emphasizing flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.

Pilates

A Pilates class is a mind-body workout that focuses on core strength, flexibility, balance, and overall body awareness. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, Pilates exercises are designed to improve posture, strengthen muscles, and enhance coordination. Pilates is suitable for people of all fitness levels, and its principles can be adapted to various fitness goals and abilities.

EXTRA GENTLE/STILLNESS PRACTICES

Yin

Yin yoga is characterized by holding passive poses for several minutes at a time to soften the connective tissue of the body. These postures are often seated or reclined. Although there are some poses for the upper extremities, the majority of the postures address the middle and lower parts of the body. This class is appropriate for all practitioners, regardless of experience.

Reiki Restore

Restorative yoga is a stillness practice, during which props are used to fully support the body in restful positions. Meditative techniques and breath work allow for the subtle experience to deepen. This practice is highly accessible and nurturing, and has great benefit for anyone wishing to slow down and find a sense of calm and relaxation. Healing Reiki energy is shared with practitioners via the palms of the hands.

Gentle + Restore

This class combines the benefits of two styles, with the addition of guided meditation. Restorative poses are offered at the beginning and end of class to enhance the experience as you are compassionately guided into stillness. In this class you will stretch and lengthen the body with the breath as your guide, gently build strength, and open yourself to the benefits of restorative yoga and meditation.

Therapeutic Yoga

This class uses yoga therapy techniques to bring awareness to parts of the body that need special attention, such as the joints, hips, and spine. Your breath will guide movement for slow, purposeful, and easeful postures both standing and sitting on the mat. Each class ends with the deeply relaxing practice of Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep).

Sleep Meditation

In this stillness practice, props are used to fully support the body in restful positions. You will then be guided through different meditations that induce full-body relaxation, akin to sleep.  This practice is effective in reducing stress and anxiety, and it can increase your quality of sleep.
